As a web designer/developer for the BEI Exit Planning website and platform, the goal was to create a professional, intuitive system that supports advisors in helping business owners successfully plan their business exits. The platform needed to securely gather and organize complex client and business data, then automatically generate custom-branded documents and comprehensive exit plans. One of the major challenges was developing a user experience that simplified a highly detailed and often overwhelming planning process, while still providing robust tools and flexibility for financial advisors. Client needs that had to be overcome included ensuring data security and privacy, streamlining multi-step workflows, and enabling easy customization for different advisor firms. The platform also had to be highly reliable and scalable, as it supports both detailed financial planning and professional presentation output. Creating a balance between functionality, security, and ease-of-use was essential to the platform’s success.
